Building on the Sr. Telemaster proud and successful foundation, this integrated twin design makes for a great build and a remarkable flying experience.
This is not a "retrofit" or bash by any stretch of the imagination. We have integrated the twin engine nacels with battery housing to take them out of the way. Those modifications, including the wing structure and fuselage interface redesign, lets us produce a stunningly open fuselage for your payload pleasure. It's intended to fly and protect your cameras, and any kind of sensor or instrument you can imagine, safely into the air and back to you. No kidding around here, and she looks really good doing it! The classic square fuselage is reflected in the shape of the nacels for this very true to line evolution of the Telemaster.
The lifting horizontal stabilizer quickly gets, and maintains, authority throughout the landing and takeoff envelope giving the pilot fantastic control. We retained all the terrific flight characteristics of the original Senior Telemaster while adding new dimensions with twin redundancy.
The 2-piece wings uses an aluminum wing tube. The wing bolts to the fuselage with (4) 1/4-20 nylon bolts. The vertical and horizontal tail assembly is removable as a unit and because the servos for elevator and rudder are in the stabilizer, there are no pushrods to disconnect; just unplug the servo extensions and four mounting screws.
The Senior Telemaster Kit includes a drop box: a large hatch on the bottom of the fuselage can be remotely opened by a servo for candy drops or parachute drops. The fuselage interior is larger now with lots of room for a cameras and instruments. The precision of laser cutting brings a whole new experience to kit building, parts fit precisely and assembly is much faster than with earlier style kits. Full size black line plans and building notes guide you through the build. You can be assured of a warp-free, light yet strong aircraft that retains all of the great flying characteristics that makes the Senior Telemaster the iconic model aircraft that it is, with the added beauty, utility, and redundancy of a twin.
Kit includes pushrods and clevises. Main wheels. You will need 4 rolls of covering. A 6-channel radio system is required to use all functions: Ailerons (2 servos), Flaps (2 servos), Elevator, Rudder (2 HS-225 servos), Drop hatch and nose wheel (2 9g servo).
